Surface disinfection in medical practices is an essential component of the prevention of nosocomial infections and healthcare-associated infections. Examination tables, work surfaces, surface-mounted medical equipment, door handles and light switches are all potential reservoirs of pathogenic microorganisms between patients.
Virucidal, bactericidal and fungicidal products
Effective surface disinfection requires products that have demonstrated their efficacy in accordance with the applicable EN standards: EN 1276 for bactericidal activity, EN 14476 for virucidal activity (including coronaviruses), and EN 13697 for surface activity. Our medical surface disinfectants are certified to these standards and comply with the HCSP’s recommendations for the control of healthcare-associated infections in outpatient care.
Wipes and sprays for rapid disinfection
Pre-moistened disinfectant wipes allow for the disinfection of medical surfaces in a single step – simultaneous cleaning and disinfection – in a matter of seconds between patients. Ideal for examination tables, ECG machines, blood pressure monitors and stethoscopes. Disinfectant sprays are suitable for large surfaces and hard-to-reach areas. The contact time must be observed for optimal effectiveness against the most resistant pathogens.
