Hygienic Covers for Holter Blood Pressure Cuffs

Holter blood pressure cuff covers are hygienic covers that are placed between the patient’s skin and the ABPM cuff. Their systematic use is strongly recommended in practices where several patients share the same cuff, in order to prevent cross-contamination of the skin and to keep the cuffs in an optimal state of hygiene throughout their lifespan.

Hygiene and prevention of cross-infection

The ABPM cuff remains in prolonged contact with the patient’s skin for 24 hours, sometimes under conditions of heavy perspiration. Without a cover, the fabric absorbs skin secretions and can become a vector for the transmission of germs between patients, particularly dermatophytes or resistant skin bacteria. Disposable or reusable cuff covers eliminate this risk of cross-contamination.

Cuff protection and durability

In addition to the hygienic benefits, cuff covers extend the lifespan of the ABPM cuff by limiting the absorption of sweat, skin oils and cosmetic residues from the patient into the fabric. A protected cuff stays clean, retains its mechanical properties for longer and requires less intensive cleaning. Our covers are available in sizes matching our cuffs for a perfect fit and optimal patient comfort.
